In short, we know…
• Maricopa County is growing so fast that traffic can be tough to avoid.
• Stop-and-go traffic is not only increasing our commutes, but also making us less safe: Firefighters trying to reach homes, law enforcement trying to handle emergencies, EMTs trying to respond to traffic accidents are all sitting in traffic just like us.
• By supporting this measure in 1985 and 2004, we got the 101, 202, 303, SR51 and dial-a-ride.
• If Prop 479 fails, it will only get worse: gridlock will increase; we will lose buses, all dial-a-ride services; and existing plans to reduce traffic will come to a standstill.
But we have a path forward…
• Voting Yes on Prop 479 means years of planning and construction won’t go to waste.
• Yes on Prop 479 means expanding and building new freeways, reducing traffic, and making it safer to get around.
• Vote Yes to help reduce congestion and ensure everyone can get where they need to go safely.
