The AZAGC holds monthly committee meetings, conferences and seminars in Phoenix, Tucson and throughout the state. Check out our online calendar of programs and events.

Our members benefit from AZAGC’s active participation in the legislative process at the local, state and federal levels affecting economic and infrastructure development. AZAGC originates and coordinates support for bills favorable to the industry, while also opposing unfavorable legislation. During legislative session, weekly updates on current legislation are sent to members through email alerts and updates to our website.

Members receive personal assistance with problem solving, interpretation of regulations and awarding agency compliance reviews.

The AZAGC provides services for both open-shop and union contractors. The AZAGC is a certified collective bargaining agent that can provide representation for individual firms with labor unions.

Throughout the year, the AZAGC provides a wealth of education classes, taught by leading industry professionals. Topics include safety, management, technology, environmental, green building and industry-specific issues. Classes are held at the AZAGC offices in downtown Phoenix, or they can be delivered at a specific company location upon request. Our list of education programs include:

  • AGC Dust Certification (Basic, Comprehensive and Water Pullers Certification) Class

The AZAGC Political Action Committee was organized in June of 1997 and chaired by an AZAGC member in an effort to maximize political awareness and activity in the association. The committee has successfully raised and contributed over $150,000 to various local candidates and causes throughout the years. Political involvement is paramount to effectuating change and AZAGC works hard to create and maintain relationships throughout the state.

AZAGC is continually working hard to ensure communication to members is constant with important, relevant information. AGC has access to numerous resources for books, manuals, training programs, contract documents, videos, software and more. The chapter library houses AGC contract documents for purchase, as well as various safety-related videos for loan. AZAGC sends out an e-Bulletin regularly to members and industry partners, special action e-Lerts on breaking news that require member’s action and weekly legislative updates throughout the legislative session.
