AZAGC applauds Governor Ducey’s initial proposal to raise the registration fee in order to help fund the Department of Public Safety (DPS).  This was a great first-step that unfortunatley did not become part of the final budget package.

In response to the final budget, AZAGC sent this letter to the governor asking for his assistance in finding a solution to stop the fund transfers and begin exploring ways to solve the transportation funding shortfall.  In short, the letter reiterated AZAGC’s opposition to fund transfers, outlined the number of transfers that occurred this year and explained the positive a negative impacts of funding and underfunding transportation.
