The Heavy Equipment Operators Apprenticeship Program was developed to assist in meeting the future need for trained, qualified journey and/or craft workers in the construction industry. The program is operated under the guidelines of the Department of Commerce which requires certain criteria be met for the completion of the program in order to obtain a Journeyman Certification issued by the state of Arizona. The apprenticeship program consists of 3 years of classes that meet two days per month and 5000 hours of paid On the Job Training with one of our sponsoring member contractors. Apprentices receive college credit for all classes taken from Central Arizona College.
This area has the application, the current class schedule, previous work experience form and sample letter required for previous OJT hours. Review and complete these forms prior to applying to program.
